Velocite will the taking delivery of the new version 1.5 release which includes several new features including OMF® compatibility with Avid® Symphony™, Avid Media Composer®, DigiDesign® Pro Tools®, and Apple® Final Cut Pro®, plus 844/X timeline export to Adobe® After Effects®, support for Adobe Photoshop® layers in the 844/X timeline, and EDL export.

The 844/X system is built around a PCI hardware platform called the "GenesisEngine". The product of a substantial, multi-year research effort, GenesisEngine provides real-time image and signal processing to support recursive processing of concurrent effects on multiple simultaneous video and key streams. Personal computers can take hours to render media functions that the GenesisEngine can process in real time. GenesisEngine provides high internal mathematical precision to uphold picture and sound quality through the millions of interim operations intrinsic to this complex processing.
